This is a scene from a hike up Mt. Baden Powell in California that my son and I took. From the top of the mountain, you can see Los Angeles in the distance; but along the way, views of Azusa (shown in this scene), the Mojave Desert, Mt. Baldy, and other places make this hike one of the best!
My first love is God's word.. then comes my husband who inspired me to get painting with an easel right after our daughter was born in 2004 (like I had time:). However, you can find a painting here in my gallery called "Dad's Art" that really started my love of art. As a child, I watched my dad create plein air paintings of places we were visiting and I would try sketching them. Since then, I've gone through many forms of art: twisting wire, knotting macrame, sequinning jeans, weaving pine needles, woodworking, crafting, decorating, quilting, scrapbooking, photography and more.
