I painted this landscape in honor of my late mother, Jeanne Beaumont. My mom passed peacefully in her sleep after being reassured of God's presence and faithfulness through about a year of cancer treatments. Towards the end (sunset) of her life, she had a vision of a cart full of seeds with many flowers blooming around her. My mom had a life of sharing God's word and prayer to many women that began in a town in the San Gabriel Mountains.
My first love is God's word.. then comes my husband who inspired me to get painting with an easel right after our daughter was born in 2004 (like I had time:). However, you can find a painting here in my gallery called "Dad's Art" that really started my love of art. As a child, I watched my dad create plein air paintings of places we were visiting and I would try sketching them. Since then, I've gone through many forms of art: twisting wire, knotting macrame, sequinning jeans, weaving pine needles, woodworking, crafting, decorating, quilting, scrapbooking, photography and more.
